Taking the first step from having a good idea to doing something about it is notoriously difficult. I carried the concept behind Horto-Logic for more than a decade in my head before finally deciding that the time is ripe. In the intervening years, the focus on the environment has grown enormously, but in too many cases there are choices to be made between the environment and the economy. This is not the case with Horto-Logic, where we are taking something that would be otherwise discarded and putting it to a very beneficial use.
There are many potential applications for this concept, to save water, grow food, reduce nutrient run-off, establish trees and to help grow plants everywhere. However what really has motivated me is the idea that ordinary people can contribute to these activities, particularly for people who are less fortunate, by dedicating something that they would otherwise throw away for re-use.
They say a picture speaks a thousand words.
There is a long journey ahead, but the first step is behind me. We all would like to make the world a better place and I hope you can join me to turn the idea into reality.
